Arobas Music partners with The Ultimate Rock Guitar Dojo for Kids (URGD) to organize a composition contest for kids. Here is the winner…
The Ultimate Rock Guitar Dojo for Kids (URGD) is a fun and innovative method for teaching kids to play the guitar. Students begin at the white belt level progressing through five stages of skill and achievement. At each stage of their musical journey, students learn to play, perform, and compose their own original music!
The URGD offers a series of after school music programs throughout Portland, OR, for kids between the ages of 5 and 12-years-old, where students meet one hour a week to learn the guitar.
This summer, Facebook users voted for their favorite URGD-student composition. The competition was fierce, but 11-year-old Milo took home first-place giving him the opportunity to have his song featured on the Guitar Pro blog!
Milo has been a URGD-student for nearly one year. In that time, he’s written three original compositions, performed at his school’s talent show, and earned four-stripes for outstanding achievement on his white belt!
Download Milo’s composition and watch him playing it.
Keep up the good work Milo!
